Lakland Bass Guitars

USA Series 44-51

The 44-51 captures the rich and defined power of the early basses that revolutionized the four-string low-end world. The tone and power of a well-preserved vintage instrument with flawless Lakland fretwork and modern neck refinements like graphite reinforcement bars within a quarter-sawn maple neck make this another of our modern classics.

44-51 Standard – The 51’s standard vintage style single coil pickup, “slab” style body and standard 1.6” nut width (with just a bit more front to back girth), faithfully recreates the vintage shape and feel.

The 44-51M model adds more contemporary features like forearm and body contours and our popular neo-punch split coil hum canceling pickup. Other options for both models include:

  • Choice of Swamp Ash or Alder body wood
  • Available Mother of Pearl, Abalone or Ebony block inlays
  • Available white or black neck binding
  • Available matching headstock color on most finishes
  • Choice of 1.6″ vintage neck taper, 1.5″ “J” neck taper, or 1.75″ ’60’s’ style neck taper
  • Available fretless version with choice of lined or unlined Ebony
  • Available Hipshot D-Extender

All USA Series instruments include a hard shell case.
